ShutterSnitch Backup App Reviews
I very much like the app Shutter Snitch and Schutter Snitch Backup, i wish there would be a Shutter Snitch for Mac because right now there is nothing working to tether a Nikon D750 to Lightroom running on El Capitan.
This makes ShutterSnitch even more useful by enabling automatic uploads to your Mac. Now I can review and select on my iPhone and when I sit down to edit they are already on the Mac.
I mean cmon this is a no brainer. Backs up the files from shuttersnitch on ipad or iphone to your PC automatically. Now you keep a backup of your photos to your computer when you get back in the office after that totally gnarly photo shoot!
Its a really good app. My sugeestion is that I want it automatically sent images to Aperture (and maybe iPhoto as well). I hope it will come in next version. Thanks.
The pitch is OK, but its really an FTP service to share your photos to a fixed server. Its iDisk, Pogoplug or "The Cloud", but just for your photos. Eh .. So, So, although the iPhone / iPad app to do the same thing is $16.00.
This app compliments the iOS app very well. Its definitely nice to have if your tethered to an iPad and then want to quickly pull them to a real Mac for a better review of the images. Ignore the previous reviews on here by people that obviously dont know what Shuttersnitch is or why someone would use it. For those of you that dont know, this desktop app is about useless unless you already use Shuttersnitch on your iPad or iPhone to wirelessly connect your camera for live tethered shooting.
If you have the ShutterSnitch app on your iOS device and have a Mac, this desktop app is a must have. You can transfer bewteen your iOS device & your Mac wirelessly. It works as fast as your WiFi connection will allow. Agree w/ the other reviewer who said ignore the review from people who thing this is some sort of storage service. Its definitely not. That person doesnt know what theyre talking about.
